Adventures of the SST Spaceship

SST Spaceship is on a collision course and she has no more energy to power up her solar panels. What could the students and staff do to avoid a catastrophe?

Objective of this blog showcase

The main objective of this blog is to showcase and celebrate the good animation clips done by the Year 1, 2011 batch of students of the School of Science and Technology (SST), Singapore.

These animated clips are the culmination of the students' team-efforts in the first semester in uncovering their understanding of the theme 'The Environmental Challenge: Energy Conservation' in the Art, Design, Media and Technology (ADMT) subject area. Through researching and uncovering the various problems and issues relating to the environment, and more specifically in the areas of Energy Conservation, the students then worked on suggesting and executing an appropriate messaging media, through their sketches, story ideas, stop-motion photography, and finally, a 1-minute animated clip.

These are the final clips done by them.

It is hoped that through the students' exposure to the processes involved in working on a media presentation and animation, the students would be more aware of what it takes to produce a decent production. On the other hand, it is also hoped that they would be more aware of the environmental challenges that they are facing in the current reality, and in the future.

So do take some time to look through the animation clips done creatively by the students from the various classes. Sit back, relax, and enjoy their efforts.
